Pool Service in Fulshear, TX

Fulshear counted 716 residents in the 2000 census and 16,856 in 2020, and the growth has kept coming in Cross Creek Ranch, Tamarron, Fulshear Lakes and the other communities spreading out along FM 359 and FM 1093. That makes many pools here young ones. Lanterra Pools keeps them clean and balanced on a weekly route from our Sugar Land office, and repairs pumps, filters, heaters and salt systems when something stops working.

A crossroads town that turned into master-planned country

Fulshear grew up where FM 359 meets FM 1093, on land granted in 1824 to Churchill Fulshear, one of Stephen F. Austin's original settlers. The small historic core is still there, but much of today's housing sits in master-planned communities such as Cross Creek Ranch, Cross Creek West, Fulshear Lakes, Fulbrook on Fulshear Creek, Fulshear Junction and Tamarron.

Many of those neighborhoods carry a Fulshear address while sitting in the city's extraterritorial jurisdiction rather than inside city limits, and ZIP codes overlap with Katy, Brookshire and Richmond. If the pool is in the Fulshear area, we can put it on a route.

Young pools still settling in

A pool that is only a year or two old behaves differently from one that has been running for a decade. Fresh plaster sheds fine dust into the water, and filter manufacturers note that short filter runs are normal on a newly filled pool, so the filter may need cleaning far more often than it will later. Chemistry also drifts more while the surface cures, which is why steady weekly testing matters most in the first seasons.

A newer build can also come with equipment a homeowner has never had to think about before: a variable-speed pump, a salt chlorine generator, or an automation panel. We learn what is on your pad, keep the salt cell clean and reading correctly, and explain plainly what each setting does. Once the builder's startup period ends, weekly pool service is the natural next step.

Groundwater now, surface water on the way

Depending on the neighborhood, your fill water comes from the City of Fulshear system or from one of the area's municipal utility districts, such as Fulshear MUD 3A. EPA records list groundwater as the source for both of those systems. The city belongs to the North Fort Bend Water Authority, and in mid 2024 it said it expected Lake Houston surface water to begin arriving in 2026 through a large regional supply project.

Neither system publishes a hardness number we could find, so the pool itself is our guide: calcium and alkalinity readings at the first visit, then again whenever a big top-off goes in. When the supply shifts from wells toward lake water, a pool that balanced easily before may start drifting, and noticing that early protects plaster and salt cells from scale.

Prairie soil, pecan shade and Bessie's Creek

When soil scientists described the Katy series, the fine sandy loam over clay that blankets this prairie, they chose a reference site on FM 1093 a few miles east of the FM 359 crossroads. The ground is nearly flat and can hold perched water near the surface after heavy rain, so we steer pool owners away from draining for an acid wash or resurfacing during a wet spell. Toward the Brazos, floodplain clays shrink and swell as they dry and wet, so we keep an eye on coping joints and tile lines.

Pecans were a crop here back in Churchill Fulshear's day, and Fulbrook on Fulshear Creek is advertised for its native oaks and pecans. Yards under that kind of canopy deal with spring catkins and pollen, then a heavy fall leaf drop that packs skimmers and pump baskets. And when Harvey hit in 2017, USGS mapped flooding along Bessie's Creek down to where it meets the Brazos near Fulshear. After a big rain, storm cleanup and a full rebalance get a pool back on track.

How we get from Sugar Land to Fulshear

From our Sugar Creek Center Blvd office, Fulshear is about 18 miles as the crow flies and roughly 25 by road. One way out is the Grand Parkway north from I-69, then west on FM 1093 or the Westpark Tollway. The other is I-69 to Richmond and FM 359 north into the old downtown. Either way, your pool is on a set weekday with one technician who learns it, and if something breaks, you hear what we found before you see a price.

Local Questions

Pool service in Fulshear: FAQ

Yes. Many communities marketed as Fulshear, including Cross Creek West, sit in the extraterritorial jurisdiction. We route by location, not city limits, so they are covered.
Follow the builder's startup instructions for the first days, then start weekly service as soon as that period ends. New plaster keeps shedding dust and the chemistry moves more than it will later, so the early months are when regular brushing, filter cleaning and testing pay off most.
It can. EPA records list groundwater as the source for the city and Fulshear MUD 3A, and in 2024 the city said it expected Lake Houston surface water through a regional project. Whether and when that reaches your tap depends on your provider. Different source water can shift calcium and alkalinity, so we test the pool rather than assume, and adjust if top-offs start pulling it out of range.
